We have been looking at several properties in the past two weeks but without luck. Most seem too much work for our first project. The excitment is mounting at every potential project. Several of us are on the Finding Team and doing a great job. Just haven’t found “The ONE” yet. I am sure it is right around the corner.

As for the Funding Team, we are getting our ducks in a row right now. Look for us at the NOREIA meetings, visit our facebook page, you will be impressed by our credentials.

]]> http://neworleansreia.com/ladies-blog/finding-and-a-funding-thats-where-we-r/feed/ 0 We are on our way! http://neworleansreia.com/ladies-blog/we-are-on-our-way/ http://neworleansreia.com/ladies-blog/we-are-on-our-way/#comments Mon, 14 Jun 2010 05:34:20 +0000 Heather http://neworleansreia.com/?p=276 Our first project is in the works.  We have decided on a name for our LLC – Ladies on the MOVE!  There are 13 active LLC members, and we are ready to get movin’!  Meetings concerning how to find our project and how to fund the project are underway! We are looking for a 3/2 single home that will sell in the $150 – $160′s.  A home with cosmetic repairs, nothing too serious.  For our first project, we didn’t want to get too deep in rehab.  Neighborhood is still up in the air, but aggressively looking at the Westbank. We haven’t set a hard-core deadline to get the project complete, and we all have various ideas of how long this will actually take, but general consensus is 6 to 7 months.  Our clock is tickin’ - we know we can get it done! 

Look for one of us at the next general NOREIA meeting, we would love to talk to you about our project and progress!

Any interested ladies out there, it may be too late to join in this LLC, but you are more than welcome to observe our progress, join our group and come to the meetings.  Who knows you may want to join us the next time!
